With the collaboration of DesirMED, the workshop "Animal Welfare in Beef Cattle: From Theory to Practical Application on Farms" was successfully held on March 25, 2026, at the Animal Performance Evaluation Center in Fundão.

The event brought together approximately 40 researchers, technicians, students, and professionals from the agricultural sector, fostering the exchange of knowledge and practical experience in the field of animal welfare in beef cattle production.

The Animal Performance Evaluation Center served as an ideal setting for the initiative, functioning as a hub for experimentation, demonstration, and knowledge transfer, aligned with the principles of innovation and adaptation to climate change.

Through a combination of theoretical and practical sessions, the workshop contributed to the dissemination of technical and scientific knowledge with direct applicability on farms and encouraged the adoption of best practices aimed at improving animal welfare and production sustainability in the livestock sector.
