Our partner Generalitat Valenciana represented the DesirMED project in the 8th Mediterranean Forest Week, held between 4-7 of November in Barcelona. The Mediterranean Forest Week is a biennial event that serves as a platform for cooperation among researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders, fostering dialogue on the challenges faced by Mediterranean forests.

On the second day, 5th of November, Generalitat Valenciana participated in Session 4 of the event dedicated to wildfire prevention and post-fire restoration and presented a poster showcasing the main objectives of the project, the shared vision and some of its NbS to be applied in the Region of Valencia, related to wildfires prevention and forest protection. 

The involvement of Generalitat Valenciana in the event was an opportunity to network and share the contribution of DesirMED in the field of forest management and protection with experts, policy makers and other key stakeholders.
