Maria Hadjimichael (PhD) from the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI), visited the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (DFMR) in Nicosia on the 4th March 2024 and presented DesirMED along with other ongoing projects of CMMI that aim to safeguard the Mediterranean Sea. 

The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research is responsible for the sustainable management and development of fisheries and aquaculture and the protection and preservation of the marine environment. The meeting was an opportunity to explain the aims and objectives of DesirMED as well as the contribution of the Cypriot Cluster in order to inform them as relevant stakeholders and policy-makers to ensure our future collaboration.
