The NbS Italy Hub Annual Meeting was held at 20-21 November in Palermo, Italy.  The hub has the mission to promote the conservation of natural areas and the restoration of degraded ecosystems through NbS capable of transforming Italian cities into urban environments integrated with nature and biodiversity, with the aim of promoting the well-being of humanity and the planet.

This year’s event included various sessions related to the rebirth and refoundation with nature and the "Urban Nature" of Palermo.

DesirMED project was represented in the meeting by its Lead Partner CMCC (Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change), through a dedicated poster highlighting the main components of DesirMED approach and the Regions participating in the deployment of portfolios of innovative NbS. The project also featured among the Horizon NbS projects participating in the event.

Joining wider networks and creating synergies is among the objectives of DesirMED to maximize potential, share calendars, co-organize events and share the vision with relevant stakeholders working in the same thematic areas.
