DesirMED at the 3rd EcoDaLLi Living Lab on Climate Change

The 3rd EcoDaLLi Living Lab on Climate Change was held in Osijek, Croatia. This dynamic event was organized by the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, and Draž info, fostering rich exchanges and valuable insights.

The event was opened by host Hrvoje Mikulčić and local political figures, followed by insightful remarks from DG Mare on the EU Mission Ocean & Waters. Then, the EcoDalli project was presented. The main objective of EcoDaLLi is to centralise Danube governance structures in terms of innovative solutions for improved ecological restoration, protection and preservation of the Danube basin and its delta by forstering a stronger innovation ecosystem within a well-connected Living Lab system. 

Interesting panels followed focusing on the Protection of Local Communities and Ecosystems from Extreme Events and the Development of Climate Change Mitigation Measures. 

The participation of our partner, Split-Dalmatia County, provided an excellent opportunity to explore synergies and exchange knowledge and practices. Highlighting the importance of citizen involvement in environmental protection and community resilience, the DesirMED objectives and activities of the Croatian Cluster were presented, enriching the discussions with practical examples and innovative ideas.
