DesirMED 2nd General Assembly and Adaptation Day
Between 17-19 March 2026, the DesirMED partners met in Kavala, Greece to exchange, reflect on achievements and plan next steps for the project. The General Assembly of the DesirMED project brought partners together for three days of collaboration, learning, and inspiration.
The event was hosted by the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace with the support of other DesirMED partners.
Participants reviewed the project’s second-year progress, co-create adaptation pathways, and explore solutions for governance, financing, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen climate resilience. Interactive workshops focused on scaling Nature-Based Solutions, developing business models, and improving communication to maximize impact.
The Assembly also included field visits to pilot sites in the Municipality of Paggaion, showcasing real-world applications such as constructed wetlands, precision irrigation, coastal protection, and flood mitigation measures.
The event concluded with the Adaptation Day, highlighting key project results, sharing experiences across regions, and defining priorities for replication and future action.
